Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

*Wild sweet peas are known for their poisonous seeds. Do not use this flower in food or beverage decorations*

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Beautiful Fall Wedding Flowers

I have experience designing flowers, so I wanted to make them for my wedding. I searched around and fiftyflowers.com had the best prices on what I wanted to order. I also liked that they had the pre-mixed centerpieces so that I would not have to over buy to get a nice mix. Most of the flowers arrived on time (I ordered seeded eucalyptus that was held up in South America), and the remaining flowers were delivered very early the next morning. They were all fresh and beautiful when I took them out of the boxes. I put them all in water buckets and waited for them to open up. The next day, they were open and ready to arrange! I got so many compliments! There was only one issue with the centerpieces. The centerpieces included solidago, which is naturally yellow. When I received them, the growers had sprayed them red to compensate the fact that they had to use green hypericum berries. I was not happy with this, so I contacted customer service. They had me text pictures to them, and they agreed to refund me a partial amount of my money to source the solidago locally to replace the sprayed ones in my centerpieces. I was very happy with this arrangement. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the amount I needed locally, but I appreciate that fiftyflowers.com made the effort to remedy the situation. Over all, I would recommend fiftyflowers.com to anyone!

I had a misconception about what this would look like. They weren't as long as I was thinking they were and they were very fragile to work with.

My Wedding

Fifty Flowers was so helpful with explaining flower care. They tracked my order and when the FedEx driver forgot one of my boxes Fifty Flowers called me immediately and gave me the FedEx information/phone number to reschedule a pick up. They were amazing to work with. I also ordered lily of the valley, ranunculus, and forget me nots on a separate order with Fifty Flowers. We had plenty of flowers and even had enough left over to create 5 separate bouquets for some vases in the bar area. I cannot say enough great things about this company.
