Additional Information

It's normal for Pepperberries to shed or show some discoloration, shriveling, or variation in tone, including green, pink, and brown. Hanging Pepperberries may need a bit of grooming upon arrival due to these natural characteristics.

Please Note

Your greenery will arrive looking thirsty and sleepy. This is completely NORMAL. Please see our Flower Care tab on this page to learn how to properly care for and handle your flowers.

As flowers are a natural product of Mother Nature and monitor resolutions can differ, the exact color tones of this flower may vary to some degree.

Package contents and prices are based on availability and may change due to weather and market conditions. If a substitution is necessary, we take great care to ensure your order closely matches your original flower choice, even if this means substituting flowers of higher value. While we will make every effort to contact you, there may be rare instances where we are unable to reach you in time. In such cases, we may proceed with substitutions to ensure your order ships on schedule, even without prior verbal confirmation.

Caring for Your Greenery

Greenery is shipped fresh directly from our farms to your doorstep. When you first open the box, your greens might appear "sleepy" or "thirsty," which is completely normal. These have just completed an international journey and need water. Following the important care and preparation steps below will help rehydrate them and ensure they last as long as possible.

Greenery Care Steps – From Arrival to Use

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect

  • Unpack Promptly: Cut any straps to remove greenery from the box. As you unpack, check your blooms for any visible concerns.

  • Process Immediately: Begin the steps below immediately upon opening the box to ensure your flowers rehydrate and recover from their journey. Again, don’t worry if they appear sleepy or thirsty—they will perk up beautifully with proper care.

Step 2: Prepare the Containers

  • Choose Clean Buckets or Vases: Ensure your containers are clean and sanitized to remove soap residue, bacteria, and dirt, which can shorten flower life.

  • Fill Containers: Add at least 4 inches of cool, fresh water, and mix in flower food if available.

Step 3: Trim and Place in Water

  • Remove Packaging: Take off any rubber bands or plastic sleeves protecting the greens.

  • Remove Foliage Below the Waterline: Strip leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  • Trim the Stems: Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut stems diagonally about 1 inch from the bottom. Avoid household scissors, as they pinch the stems and block water absorption.

  • Place Immediately: Place the freshly cut stems into the prepared water immediately, ensuring enough space in each container to allow the greenery to hydrate properly.

Step 4: Hydrate and Maintain

  • Hydration Time: Allow your greenery to hydrate for a minimum of 4 hours, although 8 hours is ideal.

  • Storage: Store your hydrated greenery in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat. Avoid placing in a refrigerator.

  • Monitor Water Levels: Greenery drinks heavily upon arrival, so check frequently to ensure all stems are always submerged. If the water drops below the stems, refill immediately and recut them before placing them back in the container.

Step 5: Time to Design

  • Ready to Arrange: After completing the hydration and processing steps above, your greenery is ready for design.

  • Recut and Maintain: As you design, make sure to recut the stems and maintain water levels.

  • Refresh Regularly: Change water daily and recut stems every 24-48 hours to keep greenery fresh.

LOVE this stuff. It was the first time I had ever used or seen it and I was so thrilled with the texture it added to every blank space. The only thing I would say to a DIYer is make sure you have some hefty shears! These things are more like cutting a tree branch than a flower stem.

The pepperberry we used for both my bouquet and the table centerpieces. It tied in beautifully with the palette of reds and berries that I had planned, and the drape of the berries was so romantic in my bouquet!

These were amazing for texture, but they were very messy. The leaves kept falling off.

Definitely super pretty, but the berries were smaller and less noticeable than I was anticipating, so they didn't add quite as much dramatic effect as I wanted.

This was the only disappointment. I selected this as a last minute substitution and was so excited to try it. When it arrived, I expected it to be hanging but it was also very wilted and the leaves just looked so sad. Instead of asking for a refund, I decided to give it time to hydrate but it never improved and we did not use any of it. That being said, I will try it again because I know it was just a bad box.
