Gardenias are fragile flowers that require special handling. By following the care instructions below, you can help preserve their beauty for your event or design use.
Flower Care Steps – From Arrival to Arrangement
Step 1: Arrival & Packaging
Gardenias will arrive in a plastic container with a special paper wrap.
Keep them in their box to help extend their life for up to one week.
Step 2: Refrigerate Immediately
Place the box in the refrigerator upon arrival.
Do not store near fruits or vegetables, as gardenias are highly sensitive to ethylene gas released by produce, which can damage the blooms.
Step 3: Leave Packaged Until Use
Do not open the container until the day of your event.
Once arranged, gardenias have an expected bloom life of approximately 24 hours.
Step 4: Ready to Design
When ready to decorate, simply open the packaging and arrange as desired.
Be aware that gardenias do not have a stem and must be wired or glued into your designs.
