For Lauren and Michael, every bloom held meaning. Their wedding combined timeless elegance with modern floral design while weaving in cherished memories of family, faith, and a favorite childhood movie.
A Wedding Inspired by Love and Lasting Memories
Lauren and Michael’s love story took an unexpected path. After meeting at church and going on just one date, they spent two years apart before reconnecting at exactly the right time. Six months after that reconnection, they were engaged.
Their wedding reflected everything they loved, blending classic romance with personal touches inspired by The Princess Diaries, a movie Lauren treasured watching with her grandparents. She walked down the aisle to "The Kiss," and later shared an anniversary dance to "A Love That Will Last." One of the day's most meaningful moments came as her grandparents, celebrating 50 years of marriage, were the last couple on the dance floor.
Bringing Their Floral Vision to Life
Lauren envisioned elegant wedding flowers with a fresh, modern twist. Instead of following tradition, she mixed timeless blooms with unexpected statement flowers to create arrangements that felt romantic, sculptural, and full of movement.
Like so many DIY couples, bringing that vision to life became one of the most memorable parts of the weekend. Family and friends gathered in a hotel conference room to assemble bouquets, centerpieces, and floral accents together. Lauren even created her own bridal bouquet alongside her maid of honor.
While there were a few challenges along the way, she says she would do it all again.
"DIY flowers are an intensive process, but so incredibly rewarding. The flowers were everything we envisioned and more. I could not have been any happier with them."

Lauren's floral recipe blended classic wedding favorites with unique focal flowers to create a design that felt timeless and completely current.
The combination of soft blush, ivory, pale green, and rich burgundy created beautiful depth, while the mix of shapes and textures gave every arrangement a modern, garden-inspired feel.
