Modern California Boho Wedding
This wedding was filled with modern-boho vibes and touches of organic detail. The couple picked the most perfect venue for their celebration, showcasing everything we love about outdoor weddings.
From the organic and woodsy setting to the beautiful decor, every detail was well-thought-out and immaculately executed with the help of the bride's maid of honor and sister, Alex.
The couple's wedding color palette and decor were inspired by the many places they have traveled together, their shared interest in painting, and the bride's Mediterranean heritage. "Their love of David's longtime (and Katherine's adopted) home of California determined the natural setting and rustic decor," Alex said in her testimonial.
Katherine attributes all of her help to her sister, wedding planners Paulette and Mattie, and the many family members who graciously helped with planning, arranging, decorating, and beyond!
Their wedding featured so many unique elements that blended together seamlessly. Here's exactly what the bride's sister ordered to bring their modern-boho vision to life!

Hand-Tied Bridal Bouquet
Katherine's bridal bouquet, composed of protea, anemones, roses, stock, dahlias, wax flowers and a mixture of greenery, is swoon-worthy! This color palette popped effortlessly against the woodsy setting and complimented the rug perfectly.
Modern-Boho Ceremony Backdrop
The couple said their " I Do's" in front of this gorgeous, geometric backdrop, which happens to be one of 2020's upcoming wedding trends. Their backdrop was beautifully decorated with fresh, tall gladiolus, stock, pampas grass, and other eye-catching flowers.
Organic Table Setting
Mix-and-match glasses paired effortlessly with the wooden tables and fresh greenery. Not to mention the citrus touches, which popped perfectly against the wood and metallic details.
Mix-and-Match Bridesmaids
The bride's sister, Alex, added pops of red and orange in every detail throughout the wedding in including the bridesmaid dresses. The bridesmaids carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet, which were wrapped in a beautiful green ribbon.
The Groom and Groomsmen
The groom and his groomsmen looked dapper in their grey suits; the groomsmen with their emerald green ties and the groom with his white tie. The boutonnieres, the majority made up of anemones and freesia, look elegant and timeless. As for the groom, he wore an orange ranunculus paired with a sprig of wax flower.
Geometric Floral Arrangement Details
The modern vibes were showcased through their geometric shapes like their ceremony backdrop and this beautiful vase! The reds and oranges popped against the natural setting and matched the season perfectly.
Repurposing Wedding Flowers
This gorgeous arrangement was used for both the ceremony and reception decor, along with these geometric lanterns, which helped fit the scene. The mix of geometric elements with wood aesthetics really sets the organic feel!
