The holiday season no longer has sole ownership over wreaths and garlands. Garlands, big and little, fresh and dried, are taking the world by storm. Brides are using garlands more than ever for things like arches and table runners. Learn how to incorporate fall garlands into your fall wedding, event, or just in your home. We've curated nine images with the tips and tricks to incorporate fall garlands of all shapes and sizes into your weddings and events.

Large amounts of greenery such as Silver Dollar, Ruscus, and Seeded Eucalyptus make up garland. These luscious leafy garlands genuinely look beautiful on their own but adding flowers like garden roses, ranunculus, and other beautiful blooms takes them to a whole new level. We love garlands that feature more than one type of greenery because of the rich texture and volume. The best part of our available year-round garlands is that they come ready to go right out of the box. Of course, you can always DIY your own, too. Browse through the inspiration below to see how you can use garlands in your wedding.

1). Just Greenery

This natural and untamed look uses only greenery to make up the garland. It's perfect for bohemian or nature-inspired weddings. You can drape strands of garland all over to achieve a lush and cohesive floral design. Line the ceremony aisle with garland and repurpose the strings for reception table runners.

2). Table Runner Garlands

Use garland as table runners. Bonus points if the table is long! Your imagination is your only limitation here. Use fabric or don't. Add candles, lights, succulents, berries, seashells, trinkets, pinecones, or anything else fitting the event style and theme.

Pro Tip: If you have extra greenery, you can create a DIY garland lay-down treatment similar to the picture above by placing the greenery branches down in layers along the table.

3). Garlands with Focal Flowers

Add focal flowers to your garland for pops of color. You can also bring the same type of flowers from other decorations, bouquets, or arrangements to create a uniform look and feel. Table runners and arch garlands utilize this style beautifully.

4). Wow Factor Piece
Large fall garland installations can be a great focal piece for wedding receptions and events. Large doorways, windows, ledges, fireplaces, and photo walls are great places to go all out on show stopping floral design. Order multiple types of garland for volume and drama. Add even more greenery stems and focal flowers for that added level of opulence.

5). Draped Across Arch
This popular arch style is thriving. Make this look your own by featuring unique focal flower types and colors. The additional tropical greenery takes the rustic style of the arch and transforms it into a more boho look.
Trend Alert 🔥: Change up the shape of your arch. Geometric shapes can add an exciting flair to your special day.

6). Arch Focal Pieces
Create a striking design by focusing on one corner or piece of the arch. A smaller area of focus allows for a more cost effect, voluminous and dramatic look. Create the offset look in the picture above using garlands for the top corner and an already arranged bouquet or centerpiece.

7). Garland, Garland, and More Garland
Develop a theatrical and extraordinary design using multiple strands of garland in different varieties. The crisscross pattern used to drape the garland creates a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony, reception, or photo ops. The beautiful movement paired with the strategic pops of color adds to the whimsical style. Mix and match garland types and arrangement styles to echo your wedding theme.

8). Hanging Installation
An enchanting hanging installation featuring fall garlands can truly wow your guests. Experiment with hanging flowers and cascading greenery. Highlight vaulted ceilings and industrial venues with these playful arrangements. Draw the eyes to the head table with one giant installation, or replace all centerpieces with multiple smaller hanging designs. Get creative with cloud-like arrangements, or add light bulbs, fairy lights, ornaments, terrariums, wind chimes, or fabrics.

9). Getaway Car
Decorate your getaway car with ease using garlands. You can even repurpose garlands from the ceremony or reception. This simple yet stunning style is eye-catching and classic.

Bonus Tip! How to Care for Fall Garlands:

  1. Upon arrival, open the box and inspect the garlands.
  2. Keep the garlands in the box with the lid on. Store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or excessive heat. As long as they are in a cool place, there is no need to refrigerate them.
  3. After removing the garland from the box to begin decorating, you can mist it with water or floral spray to keep it fresh.
  4. It is normal for the garland to shed.

Garlands are a beautiful, versatile, and effortless way to decorate your wedding. You can even DIY garland with leftover greenery. They can also be repurposed from the ceremony to the reception. If you use any of our fall garlands tips and tricks be sure to let us know!
