9 Gorgeous Fall Garlands and How to Style Them
The holiday season no longer has sole ownership over wreaths and garlands. Garlands, big and little, fresh and dried, are taking the world by storm. Brides are using garlands more than ever for things like arches and table runners. Learn how to incorporate fall garlands into your fall wedding, event, or just in your home. We've curated nine images with the tips and tricks to incorporate fall garlands of all shapes and sizes into your weddings and events.
Large amounts of greenery such as Silver Dollar, Ruscus, and Seeded Eucalyptus make up garland. These luscious leafy garlands genuinely look beautiful on their own but adding flowers like garden roses, ranunculus, and other beautiful blooms takes them to a whole new level. We love garlands that feature more than one type of greenery because of the rich texture and volume. The best part of our available year-round garlands is that they come ready to go right out of the box. Of course, you can always DIY your own, too. Browse through the inspiration below to see how you can use garlands in your wedding.
1). Just Greenery
This natural and untamed look uses only greenery to make up the garland. It's perfect for bohemian or nature-inspired weddings. You can drape strands of garland all over to achieve a lush and cohesive floral design. Line the ceremony aisle with garland and repurpose the strings for reception table runners.
2). Table Runner Garlands
Use garland as table runners. Bonus points if the table is long! Your imagination is your only limitation here. Use fabric or don't. Add candles, lights, succulents, berries, seashells, trinkets, pinecones, or anything else fitting the event style and theme.
Pro Tip: If you have extra greenery, you can create a DIY garland lay-down treatment similar to the picture above by placing the greenery branches down in layers along the table.
3). Garlands with Focal Flowers
Add focal flowers to your garland for pops of color. You can also bring the same type of flowers from other decorations, bouquets, or arrangements to create a uniform look and feel. Table runners and arch garlands utilize this style beautifully.
Bonus Tip! How to Care for Fall Garlands:
- Upon arrival, open the box and inspect the garlands.
- Keep the garlands in the box with the lid on. Store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or excessive heat. As long as they are in a cool place, there is no need to refrigerate them.
- After removing the garland from the box to begin decorating, you can mist it with water or floral spray to keep it fresh.
- It is normal for the garland to shed.
Garlands are a beautiful, versatile, and effortless way to decorate your wedding. You can even DIY garland with leftover greenery. They can also be repurposed from the ceremony to the reception. If you use any of our fall garlands tips and tricks be sure to let us know!
