Floral Profile

Color: Green, White

Additional Information

Due to the delicate nature of anemones, at times we will pack additional stems in each package to account for potential spoilage.
Anemones tend to vary in color from bloom to bloom; this is a naturally occurring phenomenon. White and Blush Anemones may retain various hues of pink, green, or lavender throughout the bloom cycle.
Anemones are phototropic flowers, meaning they naturally bend toward light. They may also open in bright conditions and close at night. Please see the Flower Care tab on this page for detailed tips on how to care for them and keep them upright.

Please Note

Your flowers will arrive looking thirsty and sleepy. This is absolutely NORMAL. Please see our Flower Care tab on this page to learn how to properly care for and handle your flowers.

As flowers are a natural product of Mother Nature and monitor resolutions can differ, the exact color tones of this flower may vary to some degree.

Package contents and prices are based on availability and may change due to weather and market conditions. If a substitution is necessary, we take great care to ensure your order closely matches your original flower choice, even if this means substituting flowers of higher value. While we will make every effort to contact you, there may be rare instances where we are unable to reach you in time. In such cases, we may proceed with substitutions to ensure your order ships on schedule, even without prior verbal confirmation.

Caring for Your Anemones

Our flowers are shipped fresh directly from our farms to your doorstep. When you first open the box, your flowers might appear "sleepy" or "thirsty," which is completely normal. These flowers have just completed an international journey and need water. Following the important care and preparation steps below will help rehydrate them and ensure they last as long as possible.

Flower Care Steps – From Arrival to Arrangement

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect

  • Unpack and Inspect: Cut any straps to remove flowers from the box, but leave their protective packaging on for the first 4 hours of hydration. As you unpack, check your blooms for any visible concerns.

  • Process Immediately: Begin the steps below immediately upon opening the box to ensure your flowers rehydrate and recover from their journey. Again, don’t worry if they appear sleepy or thirsty—they will perk up beautifully with proper care.

Step 2: Prepare the Containers

  • Choose Clean Buckets or Vases: Ensure your containers are clean and sanitized to remove soap residue, bacteria, and dirt, which can shorten flower life.

  • Fill Containers: Add at least 4 inches of cool, fresh water, and mix in flower food if available.

Step 3: Trim and Place in Water

  • Remove Foliage Below the Waterline: Strip leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  • Cut Stems Correctly: Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut stems diagonally about 1 inch from the bottom. Avoid household scissors, as they pinch the stems and block water absorption.

  • Place and Space: Place the freshly cut stems into the prepared water immediately, ensuring enough space in each container to allow the flowers to bloom properly.

Step 4: Hydrate and Maintain

  • Hydration Time: After the initial 4-hour hydration period, remove protective packaging, strip additional leaves and thorns (if applicable).

  • Re-cut and Space: Give your flowers another fresh cut and place them in your prepared buckets. You may need to spread your stems out into more buckets to give them even more room to bloom. It is important not to overcrowd your buckets. Allow your flowers to continue to hydrate for another 8 hours before beginning the design process.

  • Store in a Cool Place: Keep flowers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat. Avoid placing them in a refrigerator, as this can harm flowers.

  • Monitor Water Levels: Flowers drink heavily upon arrival, so check frequently to ensure all stems are always submerged. If the water drops below the stems, refill immediately and recut them before placing them back in the container.

Step 5: Time to Design

  • Ready to Arrange: After completing the hydration and processing steps above, your flowers are now ready for design.

  • Recut and Maintain: As you design, make sure to recut the stems and maintain water levels.

  • Refresh Regularly: Change water daily and recut stems every 24-48 hours to keep flowers fresh.

Special Notes for Anemones

  • Anemones are very phototropic and will curve toward the light. Even under the best of conditions, anemones do not have a long vase life and are best when designed in a vase as opposed to foam.

Tips from Our Experts

  • Always keep flower buds above the bucket or vase rim to prevent your blooms from bruising.

  • Warm environments speed up blooming, while cooler areas slow it down. Adjust storage as needed, but always avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Use a floral finishing spray after arranging blooms to help them last longer.

Huge and gorgeous!!!!! All the flowers I ordered from FiftyFlowers were perfect (3 varieties of roses, amaryllis mocha, lots of fillers, anemones, trick dianthus, etc.). They were delivered promptly in the course of 2 days, depending on the flowers, and I received both e-mails and text messages letting me know they were on my doorstep. They opened beautifully for my daughters wedding. Dealing with FiftyFlowers was a 5 star experience all around.

Leah & Jason's Spring Wedding

When my daughter told me she was getting married, I started saving and planning for the big day. One day I told her, " I'm going to do your flowers, is that alright?" She said, " You'll be great at it, ok!" And this began my searching for where to get the flowers, how to do the arrangements, bouquets, flower crown, corsages, boutonnieres and other flower decor for the wedding and reception. I would look up things and send them to her, and vise versa. I did buy flowers through other venues as well as Fifty Flowers, however, their customer service was over and above the "other" companies. I received texts and phone calls making sure the deliveries were as promised and that the flowers were in good condition. They even contacted me when I put my order in because they felt that the day I was picking for delivery of the garden roses was a day too early and the blooms might not make it to the day of the ceremony! I will admit, it was a little daunting when I received all those flowers in boxes that needed to be rehydrated by clipping the bottoms and given flower food. This took me a whole day! The second day everyone was able to help. My daughters, niece, sister in law, son in law, daughter in law, granddaughters and even my brother came out to help! There were flowers in buckets everywhere! Luckily, I work at the venue so we kept everything in the walk-in coolers before and after processing them. Actually, the centerpieces and extra flowers were used several times after the reception. I myself used them almost 2 weeks afterwards for a banquet, and the woman in charge wanted me to make flowers for her daughters bridal shower! They were beautiful. I even received an email wanting to know where I bought my flowers and compotes from another bride having a reception at the club. All in all, my daughter and her husband had a beautiful wedding and were very happy! It's a little bit of work but, in the end, it's so worth it! I can't imagine what the flower bill would've been had I gone to a florist! Also, the feeling of accomplishment and pride you feel when family and friends compliment your work is amazing and worth every minute of your time. Thank you so much to everyone at Fifty Flowers for making my little girls wedding a beautiful one! I will definitely recommend you to anyone who asks and use your company again if I need fresh flowers. Thank you

My First Mother's Day Flowers

My husband surprised me with these while we were staying in Florida. Peonies are my favorite flowers and I was very sad I could not find them anywhere in Florida.
