Our flowers are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Great Gamble

I think the packaging needs more padding, as the paper cones that protect the heads slide down the stalk and the heads get smashed in transit. But really when you act fast, as I was home for delivery, the revival is real, and the flowers miraculously got from New York to Cali with few casualties, a couple broken stalks due to insufficient lining on the shipping box. The real tragedy was in making the bouquets and bounding them to their death. Obviously I'm not a florist so it was hard to take them from the bucket instead of enjoy their retirement ;)

Hi Giselle!

It's wonderful hearing how much you enjoyed our flowers! Following the care instructions and hydrating the flowers is essential to their recovery from the journey. However, once they've revived we can tell why it would be hard to take them out of their buckets!

Thank you for sharing your pictures. We love the final look!

Gorgeous, high quality, surprisingly sturdy

I was nervous because these are notoriously finicky, but the quality was amazing, they opened in time (delivered Wed for Friday) and there wasn’t ONE wasted or damaged bloom. Stunning.

Hi Lindsay! We love hearing how beautiful your anemones were! These are delicate, but will definitely add a magical feel to your arrangements. We can't wait to help you create more vibrant masterpieces!

Loved them!

They delivered - literally!

My flowers were delivered on time and 3 days before my event. I was a little worried they wouldn't last very well. But they lasted exceptionally well - though I did feed them plant food.

I'm pressing the anemones now! And they're preserving great too!

Hi Kate! I'm so thrilled to hear that our flowers helped to make your event even more unforgettable. I know how much planning goes into a special event, so it's always so heartwarming to hear that we were able to play a small part in making it a success.

Our flowers are all carefully prepared for their journey, but it's important to follow the care instructions on our website to ensure that they last as long as possible. The most important steps are to cut the stems diagonally and place them in fresh, cool water. You don't need to add flower food, but it can help to extend the vase life of your flowers.

I'm so excited to see what you do with your pressed anemones! They're such a beautiful and unique way to preserve the memories of your special day. Please feel free to share photos of your finished product with us. We'd love to see them!
