Snapdragon Light Pink Flower

Wholesale Prices | Delivered Fresh

Light pink Snapdragons bring whimsical beauty to any floral arrangement with their striking, jaw-shaped blooms that resemble tiny, delicate dragon heads. Known for their tall, elegant stems covered in 10-15 closely spaced blossoms, these flowers create the impression of one long, graceful bloom, perfect for adding height and texture to bouquets and centerpieces. Their soft pink hue adds a gentle, romantic feel, making them a wonderful choice for weddings, baby showers, or any event where you want a dash of soft color and charm.

Snapdragons shine in wedding bouquets, blending beautifully with roses, peonies, and hydrangeas for a lush, layered look. They're also a stunning addition to table centerpieces, where their height and shape can create a sense of movement and flow. These flowers work well in garden-inspired or vintage-themed arrangements, as well as modern designs where their unique form adds a touch of playfulness. For an extra pop, pair them with delicate fillers like baby's breath or wax flowers, or let them shine in a minimalist arrangement on their own.

While Snapdragons require special care, their beauty makes the extra attention well worth it. For DIY brides and event planners, they're a go-to choice for adding elegance and personality to any floral setup, with blooms that bring just the right blend of structure and softness to your designs.

Snapdragons require special care upon arrival. Please see Flower Care section below.

Caring for Your Snapdragons

Our flowers are shipped fresh directly from our farms to your doorstep. When you first open the box, your flowers might appear "sleepy" or "thirsty," which is completely normal. These flowers have just completed an international journey and need water. Following the important care and preparation steps below will help rehydrate them and ensure they last as long as possible.

Flower Care Steps – From Arrival to Arrangement

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect

  • Unpack and Inspect: Cut any straps to remove flowers from the box, but leave their protective packaging on for the first 4 hours of hydration. As you unpack, check your blooms for any visible concerns.

  • Process Immediately: Begin the steps below immediately upon opening the box to ensure your flowers rehydrate and recover from their journey. Again, don’t worry if they appear sleepy or thirsty—they will perk up beautifully with proper care.

Step 2: Prepare the Containers

  • Choose Clean Buckets or Vases: Ensure your containers are clean and sanitized to remove soap residue, bacteria, and dirt, which can shorten flower life.

  • Fill Containers: Add at least 4 inches of cool, fresh water, and mix in flower food if available.

Step 3: Trim and Place in Water

  • Remove Foliage Below the Waterline: Strip leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  • Cut Stems Correctly: Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut stems diagonally about 1 inch from the bottom. Avoid household scissors, as they pinch the stems and block water absorption.

  • Place and Space: Place the freshly cut stems into the prepared water immediately, ensuring enough space in each container to allow the flowers to bloom properly.

Step 4: Hydrate and Maintain

  • Hydration Time: After the initial 4-hour hydration period, remove protective packaging, strip additional leaves and thorns (if applicable).

  • Re-cut and Space: Give your flowers another fresh cut and place them in your prepared buckets. You may need to spread your stems out into more buckets to give them even more room to bloom. It is important not to overcrowd your buckets. Allow your flowers to continue to hydrate for another 8 hours before beginning the design process.

  • Store in a Cool Place: Keep flowers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat. Avoid placing them in a refrigerator, as this can harm flowers.

  • Monitor Water Levels: Flowers drink heavily upon arrival, so check frequently to ensure all stems are always submerged. If the water drops below the stems, refill immediately and recut them before placing them back in the container.

Step 5: Time to Design

  • Ready to Arrange: After completing the hydration and processing steps above, your flowers are now ready for design.

  • Recut and Maintain: As you design, make sure to recut the stems and maintain water levels.

  • Refresh Regularly: Change water daily and recut stems every 24-48 hours to keep flowers fresh.

Special Notes for Snapdragon

  • If your snapdragons arrived curled or bent, this is normal. Snapdragons are phototropic, meaning they follow the light. During hydration, place a lamp directly above the flowers (at least 6 feet away) to encourage stems to straighten.

Tips from Our Experts

  • Always keep flower buds above the bucket or vase rim to prevent your blooms from bruising.

  • Warm environments speed up blooming, while cooler areas slow it down. Adjust storage as needed, but always avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Use a floral finishing spray after arranging blooms to help them last longer.

Jewel Tone Autumn Wedding!

My husband and I got married in October 2017. We both knew when we got engaged that we wanted a fall wedding (the colors in northern Michigan in October are gorgeous)! When we originally decided on a jewel tone theme, I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to pull off the idea we'd imagined with so many different colors/styles etc. so we met with a local florist to see how our floral could help bring everything together. After a few months of checking out Pinterest ideas, reading other "Flower Stories" from Fifty Flowers, and going back and forth on our floral budget--we decided to take on doing our flowers ourselves (even though everyone I talked to thought I was crazy--including my husband)! We received so many compliments on the centerpieces and bouquets at the wedding and after our photographer started posting photos online. We are beyond happy with how they turned out and how well the arrangements really pulled everything together!

The Perfect Mix of DIY and Professional Magic

We had the perfect wedding day, but we couldn't have done it without the amazing family members and fantastic professionals who helped us make everything come together. We had a morning ceremony and brunch to follow. This was perfect for us as it was really close to Christmas and it allowed people to travel for the holiday, and we got the most amazing light at the venue. The flowers really ended up being one of my favorite pieces of the puzzle. Instead of a rehearsal dinner, we had an open house and hosted out of town guests (mainly family) for some together time and enlisted anyone who was willing to help to prepare the centerpieces. I had spent a little time online learning about floral arranging and had bought the vases in bulk and had the other supplies ready. My soon to be husband had actually prepped all of the flowers per the directions when they arrived 2-3 days before. I experimented with the first bouquet to get the look I was going for and then everyone pitched in and followed the pattern. It ended up being a great time of conversation and is one of my favorite memories from the experience. We put aside some of our favorite blooms and my grandmother put together my bridal bouquet. (She also made my dress...she's pretty talented). The flowers held up great and they were truly the centerpiece of the reception room because we had very minimal decor.
