George and Bridget began dating in January of 2020 not knowing what was in store for the next few years. Lucky for them their love for swimming and movies made sure they never got bored and always had fun! After a year of dating they moved in together with their 2 pups Sky and Penny who became fast best friends. Come May 5th 2023 and George had planned a trip to St Augustine Florida. As soon as they arrived george wanted to head to the light house right away. Once at the top george just couldnt wait another second and asked an employee to take some pictures and that was when he popped the question and Bridget said yes without any hesitation! After getting engaged May 5th 2023 we immediately went into planning our wedding for June 2024. After buying the dress and already securing a venue for June 7th 2024, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Because of his diagnosis we planned a smaller immediate family only wedding for August 19, 2023 so my dad could be there. The day before the ceremony my dad went to the hospital for an infected chemo port. Fortunately the doctors let my dad out of the hospital 4 hours before the ceremony which gave us enough time to do family portraits (not in my wedding dress) and then a first look with my dad. He got to walk me down the aisle and a full father daughters dance to our song butterfly kisses. By the time the party was winding down it was time for my dad to return to the hospital for his next round of antibiotics. My dad passed away a little over a month later on September 28th but one of my last memories of him is our wedding day. The wedding was beautiful and the flowers, although there was not many, were the perfect amount for small centerpieces, my bouquet, and 3 boutonnieres. The flowers really made it feel like it was not just a quickly thrown together ceremony and made it feel more special.

Our flowers are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMALFollow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)
