+Your flowers will arrive looking thirsty and sleepy. This is absolutely NORMAL. Please refer to our Flower Care tab on this product page for a descriptive process on care and handling instructions.

++In the event that a substitution may be necessary, we take the utmost care in assuring that your order is as similar to your original flower choice as possible. While we will always try to reach you if this situation arises, occasionally time will not allow for this, and flower substitutions may be shipped without verbal confirmation from you. In the case of centerpieces, flowers within the same color palette will be used if possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or higher value.

**Returns will only be accepted if flowers arrive in poor condition. Returns will not be accepted for circumstances resulting from negligence.

DIY Flower Packs are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

*Each flower included in this combo pack can have specific care instructions other than the general care instructions that you see below. For more specific instructions for your flower types visit the flower's product details page.

Gardenias

  1. Wear gloves when handling gardenias. Touching blooms bare-handed discolors flowers.
  2. Gardenias will arrive in a plastic container with a special paper wrap.
  3. If kept in their box, life can be extended up to one week; however once arranged, the flower life expected should be 24 hours.
  4. Leave your flowers in the packaging until the day of the event.
  5. Store your blooms in their box in the regrigerator. These flowers are sensitive to ethylene gas, which is emitted by fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to remove all fruits and vegetables from the refrigerator before storing your flowers.
  6. When ready to decorate, simply open the packaging and arrange as desired. Be aware that Gardenias do not have a stem, and must be wired or glued while arranging.

Stephanotis

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you process your flowers as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Your Stephanotis flowers are shipped directly from our farms without water tubes.
  4. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  5. Store your blooms in their box in the regrigerator. These flowers are sensitive to ethylene gas, which is emitted by fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to remove all fruits and vegetables from the refrigerator before storing your flowers.

Basic DIY

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible.
  2. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  3. Inspect your flowers.*
  4. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure that your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  5. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cool water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  6. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  7. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Foliage below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  8. Using sharp, clean flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  9. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  10. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  11. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  12. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  13. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

* If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your flowers.  Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately to 1.877 50 ROSES (507-6737).

We are in the midst of the final stages of wedding prep, we ordered flowers as a test for the big day and were SO incredibly happy. This site made it seamless to order, and is going to make my daughter's big day the day she's always dreamed of. Thanks, FiftyFlowers :)

Katelyn and Tylor's Wedding

This was the second time that we used Fiftyflowers for our families weddings. Absolutely loved using them for our bouquets. The bride in these photos is allergic to flowers so we used mainly eucalyptus for our bouquets and just loved how they came out! Using Fifty Flowers again for the 3rd wedding in April and I encourage anyone thinking of doing their flowers themselves you can do it yourself. Who needs to spend a crazy amount of money on a florist anyway!

Our daughter's engagement

Our daughter's boyfriend enlisted the help of my husband and I to set up a beautiful floral arrangement in the shape of a large heart, on top of a lookout over our local lake. It was the beautiful backdrop for him to propose. The flowers were the focal point of the proposal. They were absolutely beautiful and arrived promptly. We had enough to form the large heart, the words Marry Me and leave a trail of roses along the long path up the hill. This day was made perfect with the help of Fifty Flowers!
