She Found Joy in Church Boy

We celebrated our daughter and son-in- law's wedding on a cool October Fall day in Wisconsin! Everything was perfect about the day! There are so many wonderful memories from the day, but one of my favorite is the flowers!!
It all started 4 years ago when our family (living in Minnesota) was visiting my mom and family in my hometown in Wisconsin. That's when my daughter caught the eye of handsome "church boy", who's family regularly sits right behind my mom's pew. Four short years later, Natalie and Curtis were married in the same church. Their reception was held at the Chandelier ballroom, where my 90 year old mother became engaged under the chandelier 70 years ago!
Planning a wedding with my daughter from 5 hours away had me a bit concerned. My daughter and I are both organized, and we have good family resources in the area. A couple of key priorities at the top of Natalie's and Curtis's list were: beautiful/vibrant flowers, large dance floor with a great DJ to keep it going, top notch photographer to capture all of the cherished moments, and delicious food. We got lucky and had success with all of those items!
Natalie and I have always shared a love for flower gardening from the time she was a little girl. She knew that she wanted us to make the flower arrangements for her wedding. We researched and found wonderful reviews for FiftyFlowers. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous...How are flowers going to survive shipment? How are we going to make bouquets and table arrangements for a large bridal party and 300 wedding guests? I recruited the help of 5 sisters, 2 nieces, and even my great nieces (junior bridesmaids). We turned my niece's garage into a bountiful playground of flowers! The flowers started to arrive on Wed, then Thurs, and final shipment on Friday. The flowers were in excellent condition, packaged to perfection. As they arrived, we defoliated the stems and put the flowers into buckets of water. Thursday, we began the arrangements. We had so much fun assembling the bouquets! We started with the bridal bouquet picking the very best flowers! Next, we each assembled a bridesmaid bouquet. It was especially fun to see the excitement on my little great nieces faces when we asked them to make their own (junior bridesmaids) bouquets! So fun to see our little budding florists in action! When it came to doing the table arrangements, which consisted of large blue mason jars and birch log vases, my great nieces were excited to continue their floral creations! After our final shipment arrived on Friday, we assembled the boutonnieres and corsages. Saturday, my family pitched right in to turn the Chandelier Ballroom into a magical, memorable wedding paradise! We had such a wonderful time through this experience! I come from very large family of 13 children. We're excited to reopen our family floral creations for the next (of many) niece's/nephew's weddings!
I can't say enough positive things about our experience with FiftyFlowers! My first consult was with Chloe. She was so helpful informing me about the flowers. There were a couple of flower changes from my initial order due to the supplier availability. Dani, Kmani, Micaela, Daisy, Celine were all very helpful and reassuring through the process! My daughter's flowers were breathtaking! She was in tears (of joy) when her bouquet was complete! We received abundant compliments on the flowers from our wedding guests! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
