Retro glam on a budget

Because it was a second marriage for both of us, we knew our budget would be limited. I wanted a retro glam look with hints of Frank Sinatra and new adventures. I really just wanted a big party to celebrate with our friends, so we chartered a riverboat for the sunset ceremony and reception. We provided beer and wine and our incredible friends stepped up to cater what was the BEST wedding food ever! Pulled pork and brisket sliders with all the sides was devoured by our guests. Our DJ kept the dance floor rocking as we cruised the beautiful Biloxi coast.
Fresh flowers were a priority for me because I absolutely love them. I worried I wouldn't be able to afford roses but once I found Fifty Flowers, I knew I could save that money by making my own bouquet. I used the sample pack to make my bouquet and could not be more pleased. I was able to choose the flowers I wanted in smaller quantities. They were gorgeous and smelled heavenly. Instead of having floral centerpieces, my bouquet was the one big POP of flowers. After the ceremony, I put my bouquet in a vase for a centerpiece on the head table. Our bridesmaid and daughters carried minimal bouquets of baby's breath and a single rose. This helped to emphasize my bouquet of garden roses and greenery picked from my front yard.
Our wedding is proof that beautiful doesn't have to break the bank. By using nature's beauty as a backdrop, and emphasizing one main floral aspect, I stayed in budget and had the wedding of my dreams.
