Our Colorful Forever Fiesta

We got married in the middle of our favorite neighborhood in downtown Atlanta on a magic day where it rained EVERYWHERE but our wedding venue! I have always been heavily involved in my friends and other weddings so I knew from the moment we got engaged I would want a very DIY-heavy wedding. I have done flowers for a few of my friends, but had never had to do the ordering, so picking the flowers was probably the trickiest part for me - there were so many great choices. My vision was big, colorful and whimsical...I think it came across perfectly.

I prepped all of the flowers on Thursday/Friday when they arrived based on FiftyFlowers recommendations. Then Saturday night after our rehearsal my mom, bridesmaids, my wedding coordinator and I all sat in a circle and made all of the boutonnieres, family/bridesmaids bouquets and my giant pride-and-joy of a bouquet! Day-of the wedding my wedding coordinator just trimmed all of the leftover flowers we had and placed a few stems in all of the soda bottles I had collected the entire time my husband and I had been dating (my husband LOVES soda). We just scattered the bottles all over all the tables for centerpieces and added some loose eucalyptus around to fill them out. We were able to make about 100 bottles with all the leftovers!

We heard compliments all night about how much everyone loved the flowers...the quality was amazing and they lasted all through the night and then some! FiftyFlowers was the perfect choice for our day. We also ended up ordering some gorgeous pin-cushion proteas, feverfew daisies and yellow roses that aren't listed below.
