To save money, I wanted to create my own bouquets, so a team of friends and family gathered for an afternoon of bouquet & boutonniere making a couple days before the wedding. We got married in a historic airplane hangar which was very light and airy, and I wanted to continue that feel with simple, light decor, and flowers. I wanted lots of light, whimsical greens, with just a little white in there, so I bought white ranunculus and silver dollar eucalyptus, then supplemented with greens from my family and friends' yards. We experimented, and ended up going for a natural hand-tied look, with cascading ribbons, and were so thrilled with how they came out! On my bouquet, I included a pin from my grandmother who passed away many years ago, and I was so glad I did; it was a special addition to have something of hers near me on that day.
