Bright and Blushing Springtime Ceremony

I had always planned on going the DIY route for our wedding – not only is is a money saver, but I love being creative and getting to do my own styling! I had a quint, romantic, and vintage vibe envisioned for the day; I knew I wanted to marry in our hometown in a little white chapel. I knew exactly what I had pictured for colors and decor, and even selected a spring wedding based on the flower season – giving us only four months to plan after our engagement! Though most people tried to discourage me when I told them about my DIY plans, I was so excited to make my bouquet, and upon reading the reviews and recommendations, I knew that working with Fifty Flowers would be the best option. While I made nearly everything myself for the wedding (from creating an invitation suite bundled with my great grandmother's vintage button collection, to writing calligraphy on sinage, to bottling homemade limoncello favors... I even decorated my own wedding cakes at a local bakery where I work!), arranging my flowers was one of the highlights of the weekend. With the support and encouragement of my mom and sister, I managed to stay up all night (not recommended!) putting together whimsical centerpieces in a curated collection of thrifted bud vases and bundling bright and beautiful bouquets – mine being adorned with vintage hankies and a photo of my late father. My husband and I elected to pay tribute to him and married on the 6th anniversary of his passing from cancer. It was the most lovely spring day, surrounded by friends and family, and the beautiful flowers brought me so much joy at a most bitter-sweet time. Thank you, Fifty Flowers, for making my dream flowers a reality!
