Pantone Color of 2025 Announced!
Deliciously tasteful and delightfully earthy, the Pantone Color of the Year for 2025 was just
announced!
May we present to you….Mocha Mousse
As an extension from Peach Fuzz, the 2024 color of the year, we find the new color to be strong, bringing us harmony when we most need it. The hue gives us a sense of personal wellness, inspiring a stable and secure vibe that’s warm and comforting in a day that is very uncertain.
Pantone’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, describes the color as, “Mellow brown infused with sensorial and comforting warmth” during a well-attended webinar Thursday morning to announce the color. It’s a thoughtful indulgence… luxe yet casual enough for the everyday. Practical, yet chic.
LET’S STYLE IT: WEDDING EDIT
Mocha Mousse is a fantastic alternative to black or navy. It’s a great base color to build on andis neutral enough to go with an array of colors.
HOW TO WEAR IT
FOR THE MEN: Mocha-hued ties will look dapper with a tan suits.
And who says you can’t wear brown and black together? That fashion faux-pa has long been forgotten and will now be the height of trend-setting wedding fashion.
FOR THE LADIES: Move over taupe, there’s a new neutral in town! Mocha Mousse dresses will continue the popular trend, providing a timeless look that won’t age.
Notice in our example how well peach (last year’s Pantone color of the year) pairs
with the mocha!
For a more subtle way to infuse the tasty color into the women’s wedding attire, go for mocha shoes.
FOR THE FLOWER GIRL: As if your flower girl wasn’t cute enough already, showcase how
adorable she is in a mocha hued flower girl dress!
HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH IT
For your stationery, brown highlights other shades really well, and a managerie of tan, mocha and brown will be a showstopper! Consider it for your envelope liner or as the border trim.HOW TO FLORAL WITH IT
Mocha Mousse will make you feel more in touch with nature with its silky smooth chocolate glaze vibe, so it’s a natural fit for your wedding flowers!DRIZZLE IT:
Mocha Mousse can be the frothy goodness by wrapping your bouquets in ribbon.
As an accent, it brings in the hue in a subtle way.
Infuse Mocha Mousse in your centerpieces by incorporating an earthware vase
or create a more textural florascape with a collection of bottles!
Just remember, off numbers look best so focus on one, three, five or seven
containers, depending on how large your guest tables are.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR PALETTE
No wedding has just one color, it takes three to six to create the ultimate color palette! And with this year’s Pantone Color of the Year being so neutral, it easily transcends the seasons with an array of complimentary hues. Here’s some of our favorites:MOCHA AND PINK:
I see this color palette as being the most popular.
MOCHA AND CHAMPAGNE:
This one is for all the nude lovers; a delectable combination of the most naturally occurring hues. Sometimes a very pale blush is incorporated too.
MOCHA AND TEAL:
I think this one will become a huge hit for those who love to be BOLD! Think peacock feathers, Tiffany boxes and a hint of Mardi Gras all wrapped into one sweet
package.
MOCHA AND GREEN:
For the true earth lover, this color palette brings me back to pre-Great Depression wedding floral era, where I designed many weddings with a similar combination; chocolate and lime green. Watch for the introduction of the Damask print with this color combo as it was very popular back then and I suspect it will emerge again.
Pantone has been bringing us the Color of the Year since 1999 to engage consumers with color. They take into consideration fashion of course, but also art, entertainment, economics and world events when making their selection. An entire years’ worth of data and research is complied so you can communicate your mood without speaking a word. How are you going to incorporate the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year into your wedding? Tell us in the comments below and maybe you’ll be featured in an upcoming blog post about Mocha Mousse!
