2024 in Review: Top Flower Moments

Oh 2024...I think we can all agree it's been a heck of a year!  But before we close the book on this wild ride, let's revisit some of our top moments and favorite stories of the year.  

Industry Highlights

It was a year of crazy weather, talks on The Hill over immigration and tariffs, and "Flowers" taking home a Grammy.  Trailblazers in the floral world were honored and legacies remembered. 

Florals dominated the carpet at the annual Met Gala...

Tulips were the most popular flower in the US, based on sales... 

And California saw an amazing SUPERBLOOM event!

 Wedding Highlights 

 A continued trend, weddings in 2024 became even more sustainable than in past years!  With local flower farms popping up all over the US, many couples chose to incorporate locally grown flowers in their celebrations.  Colorful, brighter color pallets are taking the place of muted, pale pinks and creams and new life has been given to earth tones...less Boho and more natural.  

The tide is shifting from heavy greenery to less greens and more colorful blooms...

Showstopping installations were on the ceiling and walls and made dramatic backdrops for photos... 

And the Sweetheart table cemented its place as a staple for reception layouts with the bridal party being at other tables with their significant others. 

 FiftyFlowers Highlights 

This year, we had some amazing moments that will be hard to top in 2025!  

We shared 10,000 blooms with people on the streets of Boise for Petal It Forward, a national event taking place in October of every year to help spread kindness and, of course, flowers!

At the time of this writing, we were honored to be a part of 25,830 events including retirement parties, baby showers, bridal showers, birthday gatherings and our favorite-weddings!!

Did you know we offer consultations with a floral expert?  You can schedule some time with one of our amazing consultants (myself included) and we'll do the hard work for you of figuring out how many stems you'll need to create your floral masterpieces and provide professional tips to make designing easier for you.  In 2024, we helped 545 clients bring their floral vision to life!
