Make This Look: I Love You a Great 'Dill'
Our “I Love You a Great Dill” shoot at Cenita Vineyards in Cleveland, Georgia was a celebration of love, centered around a playful and intimate vow renewal picnic. At the heart of it all was our Dill Green DIY Flower Kit. The kit provides a beautiful foundation with a curated selection of flowers. These include lemonade roses, planet alstroemeria, green hypericum berries, mini green hydrangea, white star dianthus, star of Bethlehem, white lysmachia, and scabiosa pods.
To give our arrangements extra dimension and a touch of drama, we incorporated some supporting players. These included hanging amaranthus, white hydrangea, mossy green hydrangea, bells of Ireland, pennycress, weeping podocarpus greenery, and plumosa fern greenery. Together, these elements allow you to create stunning, professional-looking florals for your special day.

Crafting the Bridal Bouquet

Photo: Evie Perez Photography
This asymmetrical bouquet has a natural, organic feel that is both romantic and modern. To create it, you will crisscross the stems as you build the arrangement, forming a spiral shape with the stems. Remember to vary the height of the blooms as you place them to achieve that effortless, hand-picked look.
Once you are happy with the arrangement, secure the stems with floral tape. For a finishing touch, wrap the stems with a coordinating ribbon. We chose a beautiful green velvet ribbon to accent the earthy green tones in the flowers, but you can select one that perfectly matches your personal style.
Bridal Bouquet Recipe:
- 3 Mini Green Hydrangea
- 5 Lemonade Roses
- 5 Lysmachia
- 3 Hypericum
- 3 stems Scabiosa Pods
- 3 White Star Dianthus
- 3 Planet Alstroemeria
- 5 Star of Bethlehem
- 3 Hanging Amaranthus
- 1-2 stems Pennycress
Assembling the Hydrangea Tower Backdrop

For this shoot, we wanted to show how a DIYer can create an impressive, professional-looking floral installation. Typically, a structure like this floral tower would require a pipe and drape base, which isn't something every DIY bride has on hand or access to. So, we thought outside the box and used a sturdy floor lamp as our base.
First, we completely wrapped the lamp in plastic wrap to protect it from water. You can wrap the electrical cord around the lamp's base to hide it, or simply use an old lamp and cut the cord off. Next, we encased soaked floral foam blocks in chicken wire and attached them to the lamp pole using zip ties. It's very important to distribute the weight of the foam evenly.
A quick safety note: You must ensure the weight is properly balanced so the tower does not tip over. It is a good idea to weigh down the base with sandbags, heavy bricks, or even hand weights for extra stability.

With the mechanics secure, we began inserting flowers into the foam, working from the bottom to the top to create a beautiful ombré effect. To complete the ceremony alter, we balanced the floral tower by placing a picnic basket arrangement on the opposite side, perfectly framing the couple.
Hydrangea Tower Recipe:
- 25 Mini Green Hydrangea
- 12 Lemonade Roses
- 5 Lysmachia
- 7 Star of Bethlehem
- 12 White Star Dianthus
- 2 bunches Weeping Podocarpus
- 2 bunches Plumosa
- 55 Moss Green Hydrangea
- 25 White Hydrangea
- 7 Bells of Ireland
Creating the Picnic Basket Centerpiece

This charming centerpiece adds a touch of rustic elegance to any tablescape. To start, we found a plastic food storage container that fit snugly in the bottom of our picnic basket. We soaked a block of floral foam, placed it inside the container, and secured it with waterproof floral tape.
We began by inserting the greenery to create a lush base for the flowers. This provides a framework and helps the other blooms stand out. From there, we layered in the flowers, distributing them evenly to create a balanced and full arrangement.
Basket Centerpiece Recipe:
- 5 Weeping Podocarpus Greenery pieces
- 5 Plumosa Fern Greenery stems
- 5-7 Pennycress stems
- 5 Mini Green Hydrangea
- 5 Lemonade Roses
- 5 Lysmachia
- 5 Hypericum
- 5 Scabiosa Pods
- 5 White Star Dianthus
- 5 Planet Alstroemeria
- 5 Star of Bethlehem
