Our flowers are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Anemone wedding flowers

Arrived on time but flowers did range in appearance. Some were tiny and most weren’t white on our wedding day. Luckily I only needed about 20 of the 50 I ordered cause the others weren’t quite ready (the petals were still green/pink). I would recommend ordering way more than you need cause the flower is fickle.

Hi Christina!

We're glad you could use most of the anemones! We understand how disappoiting it can be when flowers aren't ready on time for the event. Unfortunately, we're dealing with products from Mother Nature so the tone variations in anemones are sometimes beyond our control. Weather conditions can make the petals pinkier when colder and whiter when warmer.

Ordering extra in case of spoilage is a great suggestion! It's always a good idea to have a few backup stems just in case. Also, please keep in mind that if your flowers are damaged or not satisfactory we can offer a solution if we're informed on time and have some pictures.

We always want to make sure that our customers are happy with their orders, and we're always here to help in any way we can. You can also find care tips on the product description.

We hope you keep ordering with us and would love to be a part of any future events!
