Creating my own wedding flowers was something I wanted to do from the start. What started as just another addition to my decor turned into the centerpiece of our wedding and a bonding experience for me, my friends, and my family.
It began with my vision for the flowers and making sure I ordered enough to cover all of the decor. I searched pinterest first and this is where I found fifty flowers and their flower stories. The flower stories were a lifesaver for me! I had been stressing trying to figure out how many flowers I needed to order and the stories broke everything down so perfectly! I also made sure that I followed Fifty Flowers delivery dates that made sure my flowers arrived on time. Majority of the flowers I ordered through fifty flowers, I also ordered some hydrangeas, white roses, and baby eucalyptus from Sam's Club and used dusty millers from my dad's garden for boutonnieres. Next, my dad and sister came in and played to their strong suit of organizing and following directions with precision. Fifty Flowers flower prep directions are a must if you have never worked with flowers before. My father and sister were both home to receive all of the flowers, prep the stems and leaves, and hydrated my entire ordered. Lastly, my very talented and creative sister-in-law headed the design of all of my arrangements and made my vision come to life with the help of my bridesmaids. On the Friday before the wedding they put together all of the flowers from boutonnieres, to bouquets to my arbor swag and they gave my wedding a very natural and elegant look.
My flowers turned out exactly how I had envisioned them in my head. I loved the look of the eucalyptus and how they made the color of the burgundy dahlias really pop. The garden roses were so full and beautiful and really made my bouquet look elegant. One of my favorite flowers was the astilbe and the unique texture it added to my bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres. My flowers exceeded all of my expectations and they were the perfect complement to my wedding décor and left me with memories that will last a lifetime.
