Autumn Rocky Mountain Wedding

While I was/am completely smitten and 100% ready to marry the love of my life, after he purposed he really had to convince me that we should do an actual wedding ceremony and reception. I wanted to save the money and stress and just elope. I'm a go-big-or-go-home kind of person, so I stressed to him if we were going to do it we were going to do it right- regardless of our budget. So, I was convinced in the end and the planning began!

One aspect of the wedding I was extremely excited for was the opportunity to work with flowers for the first time. I have always been obsessed with flowers and design, and I had been dreaming up color schemes for a wedding since I was little. Doing the flowers DIY allowed me to have all the flowers I wanted and more for dramatically less than hiring a florist while being able to create the look I really wanted. It was obvious Fifty Flowers was the best option for me given their variety and unique options- thistles, eucalyptus, purple kale, garden roses, dahlias, snapdragons, succulents, deep rich Cala lilies, and more.

Despite a little (well, a lot) of unexpected rain, our wedding was unique, beautiful, and a hell of party! The day before a few friends and family members helped me make the eucalyptus garlands for the reception tables, while I made the large rehearsal dinner arrangement for the fireplace and well as the table center pieces with simple spray roses and eucalyptus encircling lanterns with moss and fairy lights. That evening I snuck away after dinner to have some mediative alone time creating my wedding bouquet for the next day. It was precious and sacred time for me as I poured my love into my bridal bouquet on the eve of my wedding.

The next day I ate some breakfast while a couple of my friends and I made the flower girl (and ring BEAR) crowns, as well as the arrangements for the ceremony tent and arch we made of aspen. I was done just in time to get a massage before I left to get ready. The caterer finished up the reception tables laying out out the garlands and sticking in the garden roses and succulents I had set aside from them. It was absolutely gorgeous, fun, and would have cost thousands from a florist. All I wanted was to be swimming in flowers and we certainly were!
